I was watching the headlines roll by today and 60 % of them were about Iran. There’s so much noise in the news about Iran. Things like Kenya not wanting to do as the African Union wants them to, military-wise in Somalia.
When I watched the debate between Ahmadinejad and Mousavi I was just bored, it was like any other Western debate, i.e. pointless. Are we trying to ignore the influence of the country with the most advanced military and thousands of nukes, because it is not related to what is going on Iran, excluding U.S. domestic issues as well as foreign relations?
A girl got killed. Is that the Tiananmen square in the youtube-clip of her? Will it be used as a symbol of the French revolution? Will there be more demonstrations, will the people’s movements, like women’s liberation, environmentalists and sexual rights et cetera, make a foot-print in history? Will things appear to change? It’s hard to say, even the reporting of it affects the potential symbol-forming.
Somali parliament speaker Sheikh Adan Madowe on Saturday called on Djibouti, Ethiopia, Kenya and Yemen to send in their military forces to help government troops stop hardline Islamist militants from taking over.
